Keash Parish Remembers Nora McDonagh Toomour.
Nora McDonagh an eight year old girl from the townland of Toomour was knocked down by a motor car on her way home from Sunday Mass. The accident occurred at Bridget Mary O’ Connor’s gate. She was brought to hospital in Boyle where she died a few days later. She was the first person to be killed by a motor car in the parish. She died on the 29th of June 1919, which is exactly 100 years ago this week. The 8.00pm vigil Mass in Culfadda Church will be offered on Saturday 29th June for the repose of her soul.
