Returning to Public Worship

Preparing to return to public worship.
The Bishops’ Conference released guidelines during the week to help parishes prepare for the return to public worship, they can be viewed on our diocesan website The parish pastoral/finance councils and others are currently evaluating what will be possible for us here in our parish, considering both churches and what will be required to be put in place, it is clear that we will need volunteers to help out. A parish support team will have to be formed and from their Volunteers will be required for the following areas:
Stewarding – parishioners who would have the personal skills to serve as stewards
Cleaning – parishioners who would be willing and able to ensure that hygiene standards are met
Training – someone who can facilitate training of all volunteers
Ministry Rotas – someone to take charge of rota for all involved etc… so if you are willing to help out please let Fr Gabriel know as soon as possible. This is a time when everyone who is willing to help in any way is invited and welcome to come on board so that we do this well in the interest of safety.
Please note, there will be no changes whatsoever until at least June 29th, apart from the numbers permitted to attend funerals which has increased from 10 to 25.
As we prepare to return to public worship we ask for your patience and goodwill, and to keep expectations of what will be possible measured, as we all will have to adapt to many changes and new ways of doing things in line with the published guidelines.
A meeting will take place for all concerned on Monday June 15th at 8.00pm in Keash Church.
