Keash on Garland Sunday 2025

*Garland Sunday, 2025 appeal*

Sadly, once again, it was not possible at the recent meeting to appoint a Committee and most importantly a Secretary to prepare for Garland Sunday, 2025 in Keash; due to low numbers in attendance.

There is at this stage a very high likelihood that there will be no Garland Sunday in Keash this year; the first time in hundreds of years.

Keash on Garland Sunday has survived famines, world wars and numerous other historical events but the members in attendance are resigned to the fact that maybe the interest in this special day, within our community, is now lost.

The members in attendance agreed to reschedule a meeting for Friday night, the 13th of June at 9pm in Keash Hall, allowing one final appeal for new members.

The members in attendance very much appreciate how busy peoples lives are with work, families and so on but if anyone can at all afford a little time over the next 7/8 weeks, please attend at the meeting on the 13th of June next and for which we will all be very grateful

Funds raised over the years have been used to help finance various local projects to benefit the community.
